ADS Technologies ( www.adstech.com ) is a world leader in Universal Serial Bus and IEEE-1394/FireWire solutions for the personal computer. Since the company's inception in 1992, the cornerstone of the company's success has been to introduce niche or high-end technologies to the consumer marketplace with quality devices sold at a reasonable cost. On June 01, 2008, Adesso Inc. ( www.adesso.com ) acquired the business of ADS Technologies.

Over the years, ADS Technologies, Inc. has brought a wide range of products to market including VGA-to-TV scan converters, video capture and TV Tuner cards, which enabled ADS Technologies to sustain steady growth and sales during the mid-1990's. This company experienced dramatic growth in the later part of the 1990's with the expansion into the external bus industry, namely USB and IEEE-1394/FireWire.

Since the introducing of the USB Port for Desktops in 1998, ADS Technologies has contributed to the successful adoption of the USB standard among the 150 million legacy personal computer owners. Currently boasting seven complementary peripherals in its award-winning USB product line, the USB Port for Desktops has become the world's best selling USB PCI host card.

Nineteen-ninety nine marked one of the company's most successful years to date with the introduction of the PYRO 1394/FireWire product line and continued popularity of its USB products. PYRO 1394DV, the first consumer-priced digital video editing solution in the PC marketplace, was designed in anticipation of the increasing popularity of digital video camcorders. As prices of DV camcorders dropped, consumers quickly adopted PYRO 1394DV, which offered ease-of-use for first time DV editors, functionality and low cost.

The year 2000 marked the year of FireWire. By the third quarter, nine new PYRO products were announced making the brand name “PYRO” synonymous with FireWire for the PC and Macintosh.

Design & Manufacturing

ADS products are designed by our hardware and software development staff in the headquarter offices in Cerritos, CA.  Products are manufactured and assembled by contract manufacturers in San Jose, CA and Taiwan in ISO 9002 approved facilities.

Sales and Distribution

ADS products are distributed by Ingram Micro, Tech Data, Synnex and EMJ  in the United States, Canada and Europe. ADS products are available in nearly 3,000 consumer electronic and computer retail stores including CompUSA, Circuit City, Micro Center, Fry's Electronics, Electronics Boutique, Data Vision, IBM Home Computing, Radio Shack stores and hundreds of others. 

ADS also has several OEM private label customers around the world who market ADS products under their own brand name.

ADS products are distributed in the UK, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Scandinavian countries, Israel and Japan.


Store Policy: Price Change, Typographical and Photographic Errors

Adstech.com attempts to be as accurate as possible in our pricing, as well as our typographical and photographic depictions of products for sale; however, all prices and products are subject to change without notice. We cannot guarantee that product availability, descriptions/specifications,  pricing or any other content on Adstech.com is accurate, complete, or current. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical, informational, technical or other error, Adstech.com shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to either honor the displayed price or refuse/cancel any orders placed for that product at the incorrect price.

Shipping Policy

Orders placed on adstech.com for in-stock products are typically processed and shipped within 2-3 business days. Shipping is available for adstech.com orders delivered to addresses in the 50 United States.

RETURN MERCHANDISE POLICY

Should a product(s) fail during the warranty period, certain procedure should be followed for Adesso to serve the buyer more efficiently.

(1)  Email the RMA department at Adesso to obtain a RMA number. (rma@adesso.com )  RMA numbers will only be issued by email, phone, or fax service.  RMA numbers will be voided, if defective merchandise has not been received by Adesso within 15 days after a RMA number is issued.  Any merchandise returned without a RMA # on its packaging will be returned. The following must be available to request a RMA number:      

a). Invoice date & number.

b). Product description and serial number.

c). DETALIED reason for return.

(2) Requirement for the RMA processing:

a). A copy of original invoice with item and serial number.

b). A detail note detailing all problems.

c). All returned product(s) must be packed in the original packaging.  Improper packaging may void warranty.

d). RMA number clearly marked on mailing label and shipping containers.

e).  Shipping costs for returning  defective products to Adesso is the  buyers responsibility.

RETURN FOR CREDIT

(1) All sales returns must be processed at Adesso via fax or email BEFORE returning your item. Please email support@adstech.com for a RMA # for credit and please state that you want to return your item for credit.

(2) Any returned merchandise will not be accepted unless it is unused and packed in the original container with complete parts manual and accessories.

(3) To receive credit, product(s) must be return within 30 days from the invoice date. A minimum of 15% will be charge as a restocking fee against any return merchandise for any non-defective reason.
